Our first impression of this laptop was positive – with a Core i7 processor, 8gb ram and huge 1TB drive, it appeared to made for power users. However, the reviews tell a different story – unexplained bugs and the inability of HP tech support to solve the problem. This story was told by multiple owners, so we recommend looking at our top picks instead of this goliath. It is just within the $1000 price limit (actual price) anyway, so go with one of the more highly rated laptops like the ASUS
